    Curse Client 4.0

The new Curse client is in open beta and is a ton better than V3. It does a better job of finding your addons and updating them. I had a lot of problems with the older client as it couldn't recognize a number of addons, and also started eating my addons rather than updating them.

You can get the new version here.

shiney! i like the Backup and Sync functions. will make switching to 7 much easier (was worried about it all). also, the avatar pics for addons are kinda cute

    How does it improve migration?

Migration to a new OS, for WoW, consists of...copying the WoW folder.  Done.

I can't imagine wiping without having another hard drive I'm not wiping to store everything on.  <shrug>  Maybe it's just me.

I couldn't stand installing WoW from CD...then BC...then Wrath...then patching.  Much easier to just copy it to another hard drive and copy it back.

oh, i have a 1T and 1.5T i copied everything to, but theres just something new, clean, and fulfilling about starting a clean install from scratch and such. speaking of,

Yeah, sorry Monev, I'm with Kard here.  I've installed WoW enough times to not want to have to install it ever again.  The thing about WoW is that it isn't like an operating system that needs to be cleaned up from time to time (other than your addons and setting and such - but curse client can take care of most of that), it just simply doesn't get cluttered.  Anyway, just my 2c.  If you enjoy installing software, feel free, I aina gonna stop ya.  :-)

well, Sync feature worked and redownloaded all my addons. waiting to finish patching to test whether it saved the preferances like i told it to or not.

    Exactly.

No registry to worry about, except maybe the WTF.  But I don't want to reassemble my WTF folder.  GAH!
